There have been several incidents of criminal damage in and around the Erskine Centre in the village. The dates of these incidents coincided with the start of the school holidays. If anyone knows who was behind this could you please remind them that damaging property that does not belong to you is seen as criminal damage and could potentially result in a conviction for criminal damage. No one wants a young person to have this on their record. If you know who carried out these incidents could you please chat with them about their legal responsibilities and about social awareness. Wild Life Friendly Chedburgh is a group of like mined individuals who give their time for free to make the village a nicer place to live for people and wild life. Having glass strewn over their little garden is not nice and not funny, having plats taken is theft. Again a criminal offence. Breaking windows in the hall and breaking up the free standing notice boards is criminal damage. The only people who lose out are the parishioners of Chedburgh village as these items will cost to be replaced. Have a care for where you live.
